When choosing new sash windows, the paint finish plays an important role in both performance and appearance. Our factory-applied microporous paint systems protect the timber, allow it to breathe, and contribute to a longer service life. With a wide range of colours, including dual colour options and translucent stains, you can specify the finish that suits your home – inside and out.

What Are Microporous Paints?

What Are Microporous Paints?

Microporous paints contain a resin system that creates a breathable, long-lasting finish. This allows the timber in sash windows to shift with natural movement while helping to avoid surface cracking or peeling.

These coatings are resistant to mould, bacteria and UV. They’re water-based for easier application and quicker drying. By choosing water-based systems over solvent-based alternatives, we reduce emissions and support better environmental standards.

Two Shades of Colour?

We offer a dual colour service, allowing one paint finish externally and another internally. It’s ideal if you want a bold exterior look with a softer or more neutral tone inside, such as white RAL 9016.

More Than Just A Splash Of Colour

Standard colour is RAL 9016 (White). You can also choose any colour from the Classic RAL colour chart, including shades similar to Farrow & Ball™ and Little Greene™. Available in gloss or semi-matt.

Along with our standard palette, our products are available in any colour from the RAL Classic range, providing an extra 212 shades for you to select from.

The Finest Translucent Wood Stains by TEKNOS Coating

Due to the natural and appealing variations in the colour and texture of timber, stain finishes may differ from one piece of timber to another. The stain finishes displayed are representative of the possible shades.

Looking For A Natural Look?

For a more natural timber appearance, the TEKNOS translucent stain range allows grain and variation in the wood to show through. Final appearance varies depending on timber species.
